Intern

Ms Muibat Oduola is a postgraduate student at King’s College London studying Global Health, Social Justice, and Public Policy. Prior to that, she worked in the Nigerian health sector in different capacities and establishments for ten years. She also worked at the Central Bank of Nigeria Staff Hospital Lagos, where she gained knowledge in medical and health research; this sparked her interest in global health.

Muibat went to the prestigious University of Lagos where she studied Economics. During this period, she worked with different volunteer groups across Lagos, Nigeria to provide food, water, and medications for non-infectious diseases in disadvantage areas within the state.

She started as a pharmacy technician bagging a diploma from the College of Health, Yaba as the best graduating student. As a result of her excellent work, employment opportunities in other countries, such as South Africa, were offered to her.

Muibat commenced with her internship at EthiXPERT in January 2023 and has an interest in research ethics capacity development and project implementation. Her internship project will seek to audit the RHInnO Ethics online review system and understand the opportunities and challenges the system presents to research ethics committees in Africa.

This ambitious lady is an advocate for a better Africa and the world at large in the context of health development.
